Teresa Keele, 77, beloved mother, spouse, sister, daughter, and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on Sunday, January 1, 2023. She entered this world on January 18, 1945, in Clovis, NM, born to Loyd and Mary Louise Davis.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 5:00 PM– 8:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa, TX.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at Northside Baptist Church with Clydel Chapman and Dan Bullock officiating. Graveside services will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her children, sons, Jay (Taya) Chancey of Boyd, TX, and Jimmy (Lynn) Chancey of Floresville, TX; daughters, Patricia (Lloyd) Hausman of Bergheim, TX, Jennifer (Benny) Bryan of Abilene, TX, and Dianne (Dan) Johnson of Odessa, TX. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Teresa is additionally survived by sisters, Peggy (Bob) Urban of Little Rock, AR, Karen (Jim) Nelson of Taos, NM, and Linda (Steve) Gordon of Odessa, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Teresa worked for Holloman Construction for 37 years as a secretary, real estate sales manager, and all-around Girl Friday. She was a Rainbow Girl and served in all stations, including Worthy Advisor. Teresa was also a member of the Eastern Star and served as Mother Advisor. After retirement, she and Kenneth relocated to Rochester, TX and were members of First Baptist Church in Weinert, TX. They served friends, family, and community with volunteer work through the church. Teresa loved to play games with friends and family and shared her competitive spirit with all. She also loved to fish and spend time with family at gatherings and holidays.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Keele; her parents, Loyd and Mary Louise Davis; and a nephew, Josh Gordon.
