Teresa Sumner

Teresa Marie Sumner, 73, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021, in Odessa.

Teresa Sumner was born in Oak Hill, WV, where she grew up until she moved to Grants, NM, at age 13. She graduated from High School in 1966. Teresa married James “Jim” Michael Sumner in December 1967 and moved to Odessa, TX in 1970. She worked for Southwestern Bell and the Odessa American, retiring in 2005. Teresa worshipped at Billy Hext Church of Christ.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Jim Sumner; her son, Joshua Michael Sumner and his wife Leann of McKinney, TX, their children, Kenzie and Zoe; her sisters, Lillian Gallegos of Grants, NM, Nina Partz of Albuquerque, NM, and Norma Smart of Kenedy, TX.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, October 15, 2021, in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Sid Driggers officiating.
