Terrell Matthews

Mr. Terrell M. Matthews, age 94, was called home to the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2009.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday, May 11, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. BRBRGraveside services for Mr. Matthews will be at 10:00 AM. on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E. HWY 80, Odessa, TX.

Mr. Matthews was born Oct. 12, 1914 in Graham, TX. He began working at 13 picking cotton to support his momma. He made his living servicing large trucks as a mechanic and welder. Mr. Matthews was a skilled bowler and a wonderful golfer. But mostly, he was a caring father and loving husband to his wife of 70 years, Jane, to his daughter Terri and his son Scott.BRBRMr . Matthews leaves behind six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. No-one who asked was ever turned away by this kind-hearted gentleman. He had lived on his own up until three weeks ago.
