Thomas Allen

Thomas Henry Allen, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 11th 2014 in Southlake, TX.

Henry was born to Sank and Euna Bess Allen on May 19, 1924 in the city of Hamlin, TX.
He served in the US Navy from November 1943 through July 1946 when he was honorably discharged. He worked primarily in the West Texas Oilfields and retired from Phillips Petroleum in 1985.

Henry lived with his loving wife Roxie for 50 plus years in Odessa, TX. He was an active member of the Northside Baptist Church. After the death of his wife in 2007, he moved to Grapevine, TX to be closer to his son. While in Grapevine, he lived at the South Colleyvine Ranch retirement community, where he made many wonderful friends and was an avid bean bag baseball player. His teammates gave him the nickname Home Run Henry.

He is survived by his son, Randy Allen of Trophy Club TX stepsons, Donnie Sisco of Carthage Mo, Larry Thornburg of Del Rio TX and his many wonderful Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and GreatGreat Grandchildren, all of whom love and miss him deeply.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 68 pm at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at 1pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
