Thomas Conn

Thomas Martin Conn, age 74, of Odessa, Tx., passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Renee Phillips of River of Hope Christian Fellowship officiating, burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Thomas was born in Hatfield, Arkansas on June 25, 1940 to Jefferson and Eulema Conn. He went to school in Monahans, Tx. He married Melba Jo Berry on May 30, 1970 in Odessa. He worked as an oilfield driller for Abstar Drilling and other companies for over forty years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army. He was awarded the Vietnam Campaign medal, good conduct medal, National Defense service medal, Vietnam service medal and a Sharp Shooter rifle M14 medal. Thomas was an active member with the Baptist Church.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson and Eulema Conn, sisters, Laura Sprouse and Lenora Morgan, and his son, Timothy Conn.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Melba Jo Conn, their children and spouses, Jimmy and Alice Lee Coffman, Tommy Dale and Jaime Conn, Tina Moody, Joe Conn, Robin Rosales, Teresa and Rob Baker, brother, Don Conn.
