Tom Gray went home to his heavenly home on Friday, July 6, 2012. He was born on April 30, 1945 in Brownwood, Texas to Bill Edith Gray. He was a graduate of Odessa High School in 1963 where he was a member of the 6063 football teams. Tom worked in retail sales for over forty years, retiring in 2007. He moved back to Texas to be close to his children and their families. He was a hard worker, spending many hours in the stores even when he didnt feel like it.
Tom was not famous or wellknown, but everyone who ever knew him was a friend. Tom loved sports and being around people, sharing jokes and memories. The pride of his life were his children and grandchildren. He always looked forward to the times he shared with them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Gray and mother, Edith Gray. He is survived by his son, Byron Gray and his four children, Jessie, Callie, Cody and Audrey his daughter, Tiffany Hager and husband, Merrick, and their three children, Bailey, Kelsey and Brady a sister, Darlene Parson and husband, Ted. He is also survived by niece, Cindy Graham, nephews, Craig and Cris Parson, and their families. Others include cousins, aunts and the many friends that he made in his lifetime.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist on 1401 N. Texas in Odessa.
