Joseph Thomas "Tom" Stalik, 70, beloved Husband, was called to his eternal resting place on July 23, 2021. He was born on June 7, 1951 in Snyder, TX, born to Willie and Margaret Stalik. He was raised in Odessa, Texas, and lived here the majority of his life.
Upon his high school graduation from Ector High School in 1969, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas. He later continued his education at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, where he obtained a Master of Educational Counseling degree. He worked in education for over twenty years. He also worked as a salesman in the oilfield for several years. He then went back to education, where he eventually retired from Ector County Independent School District.
He is survived by his spouse Sandra Routh Stalik; stepson Charles Williford and wife Elisa of Odessa, Texas; stepdaughter Sarah Cecil and husband Kelly of Odessa, Texas; and Joe Stalik from a previous marriage; and grandchildren Megan Davis and husband Shawn of Gardendale, Texas, Kendra Cecil of Brownwood, Texas, and Daniel Williford and wife Daniella of Odessa, Texas.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Willie & Margaret Stalik, and two half-siblings.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM. The Memorial Service will be held at Central Baptist Church on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
