Tommie Williams

Today we mourn the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend
Mrs. Tommie Stene Williams. On September 10, 1933, Tommie was born to Steve
and Tommie Francis Nicholson in Vernon, Texas. In 1952, she and her husband
Robert Eugene Williams Sr. moved their family to Odessa, Texas. Along side her
dearly departed husband, they worked hard to craft a life pleasing to God and their
family. She served in the community as a dynamic entrepreneur by co8208founding two
successful businesses. The impact of these ventures, Williams Apartments and
Williams Paving Excavation Inc., continue to work to create opportunity in the
Midland8208Odessa area and beyond. Tommie, a member of Greater St. John Baptist
Church, Odessa TX, served and uplifted all those around her.

Her legacy lives on in the lives of her children Robert Jr. and wife, Anna, Dinah Ward, Janice and husband Edward Pierce, Edward and wife Deborah all of Odessa, TX, ten grandchildren and ten great8208grandchildren. The names of the grandchildren and their children are as follows: Ashley Williams of Austin, TX and Amanda Williams of Odessa, TX, LTanya Williams of Pittsburgh, PA and her sons Jeremiah and Joshua, Rebekah Ward of Dallas, TX, Marquis Pierce of Oklahoma City, OK and his children Treniya, Marquis Jr., Trashaun, Tasiya, and Montrel, Eric Pierce of Odessa, TX and his daughter Kimora, and Shawn Pierce of Odessa TX, DeAndrea of Ft. Worth, TX and her children Justin and Anya Hammond, DeBreana and Edward Jr. of Odessa, TX. In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Jesse and Steve Nicholson of Midland, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.

On January 29, 2011 at 9:41 am, a dove flew into the sunset to spend eternity in peace and victory with the God she faithfully served.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with E. J. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all in the medical
community for their excellent care of our mother and to our friends for their
wonderful prayers and support during this time.
