Tommy R. Duniphin, 88, of Big Spring, formerly of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 in Big Spring, Texas.
Tommy was born in Arkansas on May 21, 1924, then later moved to Oklahoma, and then to Odessa in 1955. Tommy worked for AW Thompson and Santa Fe Drilling, and was also a medic in the US Army during WWII.
Some of Tommys favorite hobbies included radio control airplanes, fishing, and playing the French harp and guitar.
Tommy is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Frances Duniphin daughter, Judy Ann Hambrice brother, M.J. Duniphin and sister, Wanda Lee Colbert.
Survivors include his two sons, Tommy Butch Duniphin, of Odessa, and Jimmy Duniphin, of New Braunfels, Texas.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, in Odessa, Texas. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the Sunset Chapel with Larry Hood officiating. Internment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
