Truman Red Sellers, 80 of Pecos, died Thursday, September 22, 2011 in Odessa, TX.
Visitation will be Monday, 5 PM to 7 PM, September 26th at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home, in Pecos. Celebration of Life services will be Tuesday, September 27th at 10:30 AM in the Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastors W. L. Hopkins and Matt Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at 4 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Odessa.
Red was born April 2, 1931 in Perryville, AR. Red served as Fire Chief in Odessa in 1966 and Farmers Branch Fire Chief in 1968. Red managed West Texas Gas Company from 1986 to 1996. Red also lived in Dumas, TX for 10 years.
Red is preceded in death by his mother, Octavia Horton and three daughters and one son.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Sellers of Pecos, daughter Twyla Yeats and husband Prentiss, daughterinlaw, Linda Sellers, sons Timothy Cummings and wife Cheri and Robert Cummings and wife Peggy, 9 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West of the Pecos Museum or to the Pecos Senior Center.
