Tyler Wade Hodges was born on February 5, 1993 in Odessa, Texas to Mike Hodges of Odessa, Texas and Renee Heflin of Monahans, Texas. God called Tyler home on April 29, 2013.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Mike and Sally Hodges of Odessa, Texas and Bryan and Renee Heflin of Monahans, Texas three brothers, Joe Ray, Drew and Connor four sisters, Stephanie, Heather, Ashley and Dawna grandparents, Francene Hodges of Odessa, Texas, Thurman and Ann Hayes of Midland, Texas, Wayne and Pat Harris of Clifton, Texas and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tyler loved playing sports and during his young life had played football, basketball and soccer. He was a long time participant in Boy Scouts and Awana Club. He loved skateboarding, fishing, spending time at the lake and spending time outdoors. As a teenager, Tylers passion was music. He learned to play several instruments and had great talent in playing the guitar.
Tyler was kind and gentle and had a big heart. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Monday, May 6, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church with Byron McWilliams officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
