Vada Lorene Buckalew of Odessa, TX passed away on Wednesday September 4th, 2013 in Odessa.

Funeral services will be held 11:00am Saturday September 7th, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Vada was born in Cushing, TX to Christopher and Oletha Buckalew on February 23rd, 1921. She went to school at Cushing. She graduated from Cushing High School and worked as a nurse for 52 years.

Vada is preceded in death by her parents Christopher Buckalew and Oletha Buckalew, and two brothers Gene Buckalew and Darrell Buckalew.

Vada is survived by her sisters Oletha Davis and Reba Tomlinson, her brother Joe Buckalew, and many nieces and nephews.

The family of Vada Buckalew wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of Buena Vida nursing home and Home Hospice.
