Vada Burmeister

Vada Ann Burmeister, age 52, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2014 in El Paso, Texas.
She was born in Odessa, Texas on January 1, 1962 to Deward Wayne Gordy and Cecil Pauline Chance Gordy. She graduated from Odessa High School and was married to the love of her life, Bruce Burmeister for 28 years. She was a florist in Odessa, Texas and in Carlsbad, New Mexico for many years. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, outdoors activities and snow skiing. She always enjoyed the company of friends and her family. She was a giver, always helping everyone that needed a hand.
Vada is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bruce D. Burmeister and her mother Pauline Chance Gordy.
She is survived by her father, Deward Wayne Gordy, her sister, Donna Pittman and husband Bobby, brothers, Joe Gordy, Deward W. Gordy Jr and wife Becky, Rodney Gordy and wife Raquel, John Gordy and wife Lisa and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at 12:00pm, with a memorial service following at 1:00pm in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial and Gardens Funeral Home.
