Vincent Tristano, Sr.

Vincent Tristano Sr., 92, of Odessa, died Friday, June 27, 2008 at Odessa Regency Hospital.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clydell Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York. He moved to Odessa in 2001from Las Vegas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from the State of New York where he was a Police Investigator. Mr. Tristano was a Boy Scout leader in New York. He cared about all his friends and he knew no strangers. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Hulda Tristano of Odessa; Son, Vincent Tristano, Jr. of San Angelo; Daughter Wendy Mitchell of Odessa; special angel Ilda Gonzales of Odessa; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Joseph and Justin Tristano of Stockton, California; niece, Josephine and husband Mike Turrelli of New York and nephew, Tommy Stramillo of New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Tristano in 2004.
