Viola Roberts

Mrs. Viola Mae Roberts passed away peacefully in her home February 1, 2021 at the age of 95 years old.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 5, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Beck Han officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Viola is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil and her son, Cecil, Jr.

Viola was born on May 31, 1925 in San Antonio, TX to Otto and Mata Lenz.

On November 25, 1950, Viola married Cecil C. Roberts, Sr. They shared two children, Sharon E. Beard and Cecil C. Roberts; one grandson, Michael Beard; and one great grandson, Tyler Beard.  After they married, they moved to Odessa, TX in November 26, 1950.

While her children were young, Viola was very active in Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.

She loved sewing, oils painting, ceramic painting and to work in her yard, until 2009 she lost her eyesight due to macular degeneration.
