Virginia Cruise

Virginia Cruise, age 90, a longtime resident of Odessa, TX, passed away on December 28, 2017 in Odessa.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jackie Brem officiating.

Virginia was born June 30, 1927 in Tribbey, Oklahoma. She worked at Wackers Five and Dime, JC Penney downtown and was manager of Frontier Saving Stamps. After they closed she worked for Gold Bond Stamps and Green Stamps. She retired in 1993 from Odessa College after 10 years.

Virginia attended Calvary Baptist Church and moved to Second Baptist Church in 1958 where she now attends.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Floys and Ruth Burlison; her husband, Allen Cruise; her son, Michael Allen Cruise; sister, Wilma Jean Redding; son in-law, Don Wise.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Wise; two grandsons, James Wise, Jason Wise and Jessica; four great grandsons, Michael Wise and his wife, Alyssa, Dakota Wise, Toby Wise and Dillion Wise; two sisters, Freda Shelton of Rush Springs, OK, and Corene Slater of Uticia, Missouri; two nieces, one nephew and several cousins; great nephew and wife, Tom and Teloa Walters of Odessa.

Pallbearers are James Wise, Jason Wise, Michael Wise, Dakota Wise, Toby Wise and Cody Huffty. Honorary pallbearer is Tom Walters.
