Virginia Granado Rodriguez

November 3, 1925 — June 17, 2024

Odessa, TX

Virginia Rodriguez “Titina” of Odessa, Texas passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the age of 98. She was born in Fort Davis, Texas on November 3, 1925, to Alfredo Granado Sr. and Nora Lyles. She married Sifredo D. Rodriguez in Fort Davis, Texas on January 9, 1946.

Titina lived a long, beautiful life as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She took care of her household and made sure she had the prettiest of flowers blooming in the backyard. She was a proud devot Catholic serving the Lord at St. Joseph’s Catholic church, and a part of the Legion of Mary. The lessons she taught and the values she instilled in us will carry on for generations. This prayer was recited by her faithfully on a daily basis “Con Dios me aquesto, con Dios me levanto, con la luz y la gracia el espirto Santo, dulce corazón de mi Jesús, haz que te ame siempre.” Her beloved husband waited 1,579 days to reunite in heaven with her. Although she will be missed, we all know that one day we will be together again.

Titina is preceded in death by her husband Sifredo “Rod” Rodriguez of 74 years, great-grandson Dominic Rodriguez, parents, sisters and brothers.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are son Frank Rodriguez and wife Carolyn of El Paso, Texas; daughter Priscilla Rodriguez; daughter Yvonne Garza and husband Daniel of Odessa, Texas. She had 5 grandchildren: Tim Hernandez wife Nicole, Donna Rodriguez, Mandy Rodriguez, Gabriel Rodriguez wife Natalie, and Daniella Garza. 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. And many more nieces, nephews, families and friends.

Pallbearers will be Tim Hernandez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Samuel Rodriguez, Ryan Rodriguez, Aaron Rodriguez, and Andrew Rodriguez

The family would like to thank the family, friends, Madison Medical Resort, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Father Chavez, and Sunset Funeral Home for their care, flowers, visits, food, and prayers.
