Walter J. LeBlanc, 94, of Odessa, passed away in the early morning of May 15, 2014.
Walter was born in Wakefield, Mass. on July 11, 1919. He married the love of his life, Ernestine Holloway, on September 23, 1943. He served in the Army during WW11. He worked for B.F. Goodrich starting in Ohio and transferring to Pecos, Texas, where he became the president of the Automotive Proving Ground until retirement in 1986
Walter is survived by his wife, Ernestine and four children Tina Weikert of Troy, Ohio, Mary Downs and husband Skip of Jupiter, Florida, Joe LeBlanc and wife Rockie of Odessa, Tx. and Amy Cook and husband Ken of Odessa, Tx. He also has seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He also was the oldest of seven boys with one surviving brother, Charlie, of California.
Walter loved his family and friends dearly. He was an avid golfer and an AVID talker that never met a stranger. He will be missed.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 PM May 17, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
