Walter Wilson

Walter E. Wilson, 81, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in Odessa.

Walter was born in Larue, TX to Joseph Truett Wilson and Alice Belle Downing on August 5, 1935. He graduated from Odessa High in 1953, Odessa College in 1955 and Baylor University in 1957.
In 1958 he earned his Juris Doctorate degree, also from Baylor University. He married Barbara Joan Gober on June 5, 1956 in Odessa. He was a former Ector County Attorney.
He was Past Master- H.A. McFarland No. 1338 Masonic Lodge and Past President of the Permian Basin Genealogical Society.

Walter is survived by his son Keith Wilson and his wife Kathy, daughters Karen Potter and her husband Arthur and Karla Wright, son Kevin Wilson and his wife Janice; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Permian Basin Genealogical Society, 507 N. Lee, Odessa, TX.
