Wanda Fay Green, 89, of Odessa, Texas passed away on December 3, 2020.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately for immediate family on December 9, 2020 with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell, Hospice chaplain, officiating at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Wanda was born August 23, 1931 to Foy French and Ruby (French) Sanders in Big Spring, Texas, but soon relocated to Odessa, Texas; her lifelong home. She graduated from Odessa High School. She married Gale Green on June 15, 1951 in Lovington, New Mexico. Wanda was a homemaker and involved in many volunteer programs, including Meals on Wheels and Permian Basin Rehabilitation Center. Wanda was a Christian and an active member of Northside Baptist Church.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Gale Green; her father, Foy French; step-father, Thomas (Did) Sanders; mother, Ruby Sanders; and sister, Teresa Sanders.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Debbie Davis and her husband, Troy; son, Ray Green and his wife, Quanah; four grandchildren, Matthew Green and his wife, Nikki; Spencer Davis; Shannon Davis and his wife, Kaily, and daughter, Emerson; Chris Davis and his wife, Denise, and daughter, Lorin; her fuzzy companions, Mutt and Puff; her cherished Northside Baptist Church Family; and numerous dear friends.
The grandsons will be honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Odessa and Meals on Wheels.
The family of Wanda wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of the 9th floor COVID unit at Medical Center Hospital and a special thanks to all who have provided heartfelt words of comfort and sympathy during this time.
