Wanda Notgrass

Wanda Jean Notgrass, age 73, left this life to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Odessa.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday, January 16, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Craig DeArmond officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Wanda was born March 9, 1941 to Addie Mae and Jack Skiles of Stamford, TX.

Wanda came to Odessa in 1972 from Abilene, TX and met her loving husband, Milton Notgrass, whom she married on March 31, 1978. Together the couple owned and operated 5 western stores under the name of Notgrass Western Wear and a gift shop, Strogan's Happy House.

Wanda had a love for all children and later returned to college and earned her degree in Early Childhood Education in 1993 in order to fulfill her dream of owning a child care center.

Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Notgrass; daughter, Vickie Thomason; parents, Addie Mae and Denver Newsom and Jack Skiles; sisters, Martha Sutherland and Delores Bell.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Harris; step daughter, Rene Branscum; grandchildren, Sarah Adams, Taylor Henry, Amanda Magliolo and her husband Matt, Krystal Thomason, Lance Branscum and his wife Meranda, Cori Branscum, Deanna Branscum; great granddaughters, BraeLynn Adams, Berkley Magliolo and brother, Jackie Skiles.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Sienna Nursing Center for their many years of loving care of Mrs. Notgrass.
