Wanda Scarbrough

Wanda Scarbrough, 74 of Allen, Texas passed away Monday, August 24, 2009.

She was born September 17, 1934 in Doole, Texas to Edna O. Johnson and L.C. McBride. She grew up in Lubbock, Texas before moving to Odessa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earnest Gilbert Scarbrough and her son-in-law, Larry Whitmore.

Survivors include her daughters, Valerie and husband Dub Lowe of Allen, Texas, and Pamela Whitmore of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Charlotte and husband Jeff Whipp of North Carolina, Amy Lowe of Allen, Texas, David Lowe of Frisco, Texas, Rodney Green of Odessa and Billy McFarland of Waco, Texas. Great grandchildren include Mollie and Macie Whipp of North Carolina.

Visitation with the family is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 5-7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, August 28, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Chaplin Larry Hood of Home Hospice officiating.

The family requests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.
