Wanda Louise Thigpen Snodgrass, 85 of Odessa died at her home on Saturday, March 30, 2013. She was born November 14, 1927 in Menard to James Marion and Roxie Leona Jones Thigpen. She moved to Odessa from Menard in 1946. On February 22, 1946 she married Elisha Snodgrass he preceded her in death on April 7, 2002.
Mrs. Snodgrass worked as Executive Secretary, Publicity Director and Interim Theatre manager for the Glove of the Great Southwest Shakespeare theatre Cofounder and first Coordinator of THE ODESSA BRAND NEW OPREE Executive Director of the Odessa Cultural Council Coowner with her late husband, Elisha, in Ector Feed Company before that secretarial and steno jobs.

She rarely went to church, however, she considered her self a Bible Student. Having read the entire Bible three time from cover to cover aloud to her late husband, Elisha, she stopped counting years ago how many times she read the new Testament and The Book Of Revelation of Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible, the Lords Instructions, was still her favorite book and she turned to it in time of trouble and in good times.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Ronnie Newton and Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation of family and friends will be Monday 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
