Wanda Stinnett was born on April 27, 1926 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Ethel and Lowell Haggard.
Wanda graduated high school in California and resided in southern California until 2012. She loved it there and never tired of the beauty of the hills, the flowers and the fresh ocean air. Wanda was a real estate broker and this was one of her proudest achievements. She was a strong and independent person who persevered through life's many trials, always optimistic and seeing the glass half full. She gave sacrificially to all those she loved. Her past time hobbies included sewing, decorating, reading and entertaining and travel. Her favorite travel spots were Hawaii, Turkey and Las Vegas. The last three years Wanda resided at Legacy Ranch in Midland, Texas. Wanda enjoyed listening to Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble and residents and staff would often come by to listen and sing along with her.
Wanda is survived by her children, Lana Muse of Clovis, New Mexico and Larry Stinnett of Odessa, Texas; sisters Joy Adams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jan Clark of Kingston, Oklahoma; grandchildren Tiffany Muse of Austin, Texas, Todd Muse of Clovis, New Mexico, Cherie Corzine of Odessa, Texas; and eight great-grandchildren whom she dearly loved! Wanda also had a sweet love for and relationship with her nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the amazing staff at Midland Memorial Hospital for her care the last few days and to the staff at Legacy Ranch who loved her so dearly. Memorials may be given to Legacy Ranch in Midland, Texas.
