Wanda Mae Marrs Stucke

Wanda Stucke 84 of Odessa went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2007. She was born on July 22, 1923, to Ora May Anderson Marrs and Emmitt Ray Marrs in Voss, Texas. She married her true love F.L. Sonny Stucke on May 31, 1941. They were married for 53 years. She loved working in her yard and raising her roses but mostly she loved being a mother and a meme.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sonny on June 22, 1994, her mother, father and sister, Berta weeks.

Survivors include her daughter, Gayle Hirsch and husband, H. Thomas Hirsch of Odessa, her granddaughter, Angie Kough and her husband, John Kough of Ft. Worth, Texas, her grandson, Andy Wagner of Tyler, Texas, great-granddaughters Meghan Wagner of Round Rock, Emily and Anna Kough of Ft. Worth, great-grandsons Samuel and Benjamin Kough of Ft. Worth, sisters Fredna Moore and her husband Elton Moore of Bronte, Texas, Melba Cox and her husband, Tyrus Cox of Austin, Texas, Ova Edwards and her husband Jack Edwards of Bay City, Texas and sister-in-law Wanda Reed and her husband, Bill Reed of Odessa, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses and caretakers of Seabury Nursing Home and Home Hospice for all the loving care you gave to her during her illness.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 11, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Monte Wootten officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
