Wanda Truesdell

Wanda Gayle Truesdell 79 of Odessa went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 24th. She was the daughter of Oscar and Gertrude Hughes born September 8, 1931 in Elbert, Texas. She married the love of her life Donovan J. Deane Truesdell on September 28, 1952 in Cisco, Texas. The Truesdells moved to Odessa in 1952, Wanda worked at Medical Center Hospital for 25 years as a financial counselor, retired in 1992. Mrs. Truesdell was a member of Cross Roads Fellowship. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to David Bernard and the staff of Deerings Nursing Home for the care and compassion for our mother.

Preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Gertrude Hughes, husband Donovan J. Deane Truesdell, and her four older brothers.

Survivors include her children: son, David Paul Truesdell and wife Martha of
Graham, Texas daughter, Charlotte Hellums and husband Tom of Odessa daughter, Donna McKandles of Midland daughter, Jimmie Daniels and husband Danny of Odessa. 10 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with her pastor Griffin Jones officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Muscular Dystrophy Association or the charity of you choice
