Warren Chester Crow, Jr., 66 of Odessa, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009.
He was born March 13, 1942 in Savannah, Georgia to Warren Chester Crow, Sr. and Betty Jo Kimmel Crow. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961-1966 in Vietnam. He was a load master on a C-130. He married Carla Martin on December 27, 1980 in Odessa. He was employed with Ector County Independent School District and worked in the mail room. He was a member of VFW 4372.
Warrens special gifts to his family and friends:He liked to fish, hunt, play pool, bowl, and have a few with his friends at his favorite bar. He was a kind and caring husband and he loved his family above everything. If you were having problems, he would try to help you.
He was the most caring man to his family and he loved his wifes parents like they were his own. They made him welcome when he became a member of the family and it never changed in all the years. They were by his side every step of the way in his battle with cancer. Not a day went by without a phone call or a visit to make sure he was comfortable.
He loved all of his friends, whether they were old ones or new ones.
His loyalty, loving and soul went to his partner in life, his wife Carla. He always said they were soul mates and would always be together, and that they would meet later and catch up on what had gone on during their separation. He loved his God, his country and his wife, family and friends.
But after he got ill, he started watching golf all the time and couldnt wait to see Tiger play. And he tried to make it to see Tiger play one last time but God wanted him home.
My husband was the other half of my heart and I was the other half of his. God is getting a good angel and theres no other one that that will ever match him to me. He was a good and caring father to our children, and they returned the love to him.
