Wayne Williams

Wayne C. Williams of Odessa, Texas passed away at his home on January 30, 2014. Visitation will be Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 6:00 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on February 3, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Byron McWilliams and Curtis Brewer.

Wayne was born in Crane, Texas to Lester and Myrtle Williams on October 11, 1928. He went to school in Odessa. Wayne married Willowdene Piersing on December 24, 1948 in Odessa. He had several jobs in Odessa but found his calling in law enforcement and retired from the Ector County Sheriffs Office in March 1989.

He is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 65 years Willowdene, his daughters Dene of Odessa, Lisa and husband John of Eddy and son Jon and wife Jo of Odessa.
He had four granddaughters, Elise and Kent of Waco, Glyna and husband Benny of Odessa, Ruth Ellen and husband Rocky of Hewitt and Alyson and husband Jessie of Mansfield.

He also had ten great grandchildren who will miss him very much.

Memorials may be given to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church of Odessa.
