Wilfred "Bill" Ehlers, age 90, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away on March 1, 2016 in Casper, Wyoming.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, March 11, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel in Odessa, Texas with Reverend Larry Hood of Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Bill was born in Yorktown, Texas to Fritz and Eleanora Ehlers on March 10, 1925. He went to school at Nordeim(Texas) High School. He married Maggie Lorene Styron on February 12, 1947 in Midland, Texas. He worked as a welder and in various positions in sales and service for several companies for over 45 years. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Navy. He was involved in the Eagles Lodge.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Ehlers, his parents and three sisters, Mary Williams, Irene Ehlers, and Viola Meinen.
Bill is survived by his three daughters, Judy and Bill Rodenhaver of McKinney, Texas, Jane Hail of Casper, Wyoming, Billie and Robert Shipman of Odessa, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Darol, Robyn, Jennifer, Heather, Brandon, Clint, Amy, Bret, Brian and Roger and 22 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and memorials, the family requests donations be given to charities of the sender's choice in Bill's name.
