Willard Lavender

Willard Leo Lavender, age 78, of Odessa, TX, passed away on May 23, 2016 in Odessa.

Willard was born on January 15, 1938 to Delmer (DT) and Blanch Lavender in Atwell, TX. He married Consuelo (Connie) Gonzalez on April 18, 1970 in Odessa, TX. He enjoyed camping and fishing. He also loved to travel.

Willard is preceded in death by his parents, Delmer (DT) and Blanch Shaw Lavender; sons, Gene Lavender, Stacey Lavender; brothers, Cohy Lavender, Dub Lavender and Gene Lavender.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Consuelo (Connie) Lavender of Odessa, TX; daughter, Michelle Scott and husband, Thomas Scott of Flower Mound, TX; son, Teddy Lavender of Farmington, NM; granddaughter, Jessica Lavender of Chicago, IL and sister, Melba Wilson of Abilene, TX.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Inurnment will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Elmwood
Cemetery in Abilene, TX.
