William "Wild Bill" Robert Ervin, 64, ascended to his new heavenly home on April 26, 2018 in San Angelo, Texas.
Bill Ervin was born in Odessa, Texas to Robert and Dorothy Ervin on November 6, 1953. He was raised in Andrews, Texas for most of his childhood, where he rose to hometown stardom in athletics and academics. As the years went on, that admiration expanded. He changed the lives of many as a Licensed Professional Counselor, and as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor for more than twenty years. Bill also influenced and inspired hundreds around the nation with his other passion in life, music. The list of his accomplishments - spiritually, educationally, professionally and personally - are a tremendous testimony to the full life he led in his time on Earth.
Bill is survived by and will always be cherished in the lives of his children: Alexandria Ervin Foster and husband Landon Foster, William John Robert Ervin and Dogan Jett Nelson Ervin; his sister, Cathy Cavin and husband Elmo Cavin, brother Andrew Ervin and wife Darlyne Ervin; and his granddaughter, Elliana Foster.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Ervin, and his mother, Dorothy Ervin.
