Yankee Bill Fales, Jr., 74, of Odessa, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012 in Odessa, Texas.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home in the chapel, with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. There will be no formal visitation.
Yank was born in Connecticut to Bill and Della Fales, Sr. on July 8, 1938. He married Katherine Springer on March 17, 1973 in Odessa, Texas. He graduated from SulRoss. He worked as a windshield installer for Lone Star Glass, a company he started in 1968.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, and one very precious granddaughter, Gabrielle Cardinas.
Yank is survived by his exwife, Katherine Fales daughter, Carmel extended family, Stephanie Orsini, Chris Wood, and Marie Cooper brother, Joe Fales and sister, Barbara Savoy. Bill is also known as the best papa ever to Deegan and Dillon Woods, Logan Wood, and Samantha and Chance Walker.
Pallbearers will be Jack Gober, Brooks Akins, Jesse Arnold, Ronnie Rains, Ronnie Massey and Dean Beeman.
Memorials may be given to Home Hospice, or the humane society.
