Bill McGee, Jr. was born December 14, 1955 in Odessa, TX to proud parents William Preston McGee (Bill), Sr. and Margie Lou (Myrick) McGee.
He was a 1974 graduate of Odessa High School and spent his life working with his welding trucks "Old Blue" and "Sweetie" as a welder. He was a pipe liner and fabricator. He really enjoyed his occupation and it showed by how detailed and clean his work was done.

His hobbies included fishing, cooking on his smoker (his briskets and "drunk" chickens were amazing), riding horses and living it up with his many Gardendale buddies. His friends in the Gardendale community really meant a lot to him.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother Margie, niece Shelly Smith, brother-in-law Wayne Smith and brother-in-law Jim Pingelton.

Those left behind to honor and cherish his legacy include his father Bill McGee, Sr.; sister Sheila Kay Pingelton; sons William "Preston" McGee III and wife Lisa and Jarrod Lee McGee and wife Tabitha; grandchildren Faith Leigh McGee, Hope Lynn McGee, William Preston McGee IV (Liam) and Kaylee Jordynne Laminack.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. To sign the guestbook, go to www.sunsetodessa.com
