William Nance

Dub William S. Nance, age 82, of Odessa, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Odessa.

He was born April 22, 1929 in Medicine Mound, Texas to Melvin and Mini James Nance.

Dub was well known all through out the Permian Basin, he worked for 51 years as a tire salesman and then in his retirement he worked as a crossing guard. He was married to his wife Clara Rutledge for 62 years and they had four children, Judy Johnston, Kathy Tibbets, David Nance and Steve Nance.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and two children, Kathy Tibbets and Steve Nance.

Survivors include his wife, Clara of Odessa his children Judy Johnston of Odessa and David and wife Lynda Nance of Odessa , grandchildren, Rebecca Burwell, Matthew Tibbets, Joseph Tibbets, Tracee Gollihar, Christopher Tibbets, Daniel Johnston, Jacob Nance, Michael Tibbets, Casey Nance, and Randee Nance and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Saturday, March 24, 2012 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with his grandson, Michael Tibbets officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
