William (Bill) Shelton, 64, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021.
Visitation will be from 6 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa, Texas.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 13, 2021 also at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Richard Bartlett officiating.
Bill was born in Hobbs, NM, to Patsy Cargile and William D. Shelton on Feb 2, 1957. Bill owned Bill’s Dirt and Construction Service in Crane, TX, where he had multiple patents on oil-field equipment and then was a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed seeing the countryside and would call Karen, the love of his life, constantly from the road to share his experiences. He loved his Westerns (especially the Duke), his grandchildren, and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; his son, William and his wife Leslie; stepsons, Cody Parker and his wife Amy, Logan Parker and his wife Mary; his sister, Billie Meisnere and her husband Steve and their sons, Jake and Garrett; eight grandchildren – Mason and Kinsley Shelton, Magen, Kaylee, Lilah, Nolan Parker, and Brooklyn and Kendall Parker; and loving brother and sisters-in-laws and their families.
Bill was a member of Odessa Christian Faith Center. He was known for his compassion and kind heart and will be missed dearly by his friends and family.
