William "Bill" Maupin

William (Bill) J. Maupin, a loving father, grandfather, and grumpy great grandad passed away February 12, 2023, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be Friday February 17, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

William (Bill) was born November 17, 1935 in Houston Arkansas to William H. Maupin and Loretta Hayes Maupin. Bill attended school in Perryville Arkansas.  After serving in the military, Bill married the love of his life Martha Sanders Maupin on December 11, 1961, in Odessa, Texas.

Bill was a machinist and worked 30 plus years for Penatek Industries and 30 plus years for Meither Machine Works.  He is a veteran of the Korean war while serving in the Air Force. Bill loved to bowl with a perfect 300 game to his name, he loved fishing, Nascar, Dallas Cowboys and Permian Panther Football. Bill enjoyed getting together with family, and his granddog, he will be missed daily.

Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife Martha, daughter Susan Maupin Ray, parents William and Loretta Maupin, brothers Tommy Maupin, Charles Maupin.

Bill is survived by his son William Mark Maupin and wife Denise, and grandson Mark, daughter Loretta Lynn Maupin,granddog Black Jack (his boy),  grandson Shawn Ray and Beth,  great grandson Shawn Jr. (SJ) and granddaughter Brycelynn.
