Willie Thompson

The Lord called Willie Ruth Thompson, 94, of Odessa to her heavenly home on January 18, 2015.

She was born December 2, 1920 in Stacy, TX to George C and Mary Ellen (Hicks) Lindly. She married Arvel Lee Thompson on June 9, 1943 in Norman, OK. He preceded her in death October 20, 2011. She was a homemaker. She moved to Odessa from Hobbs in 2003.

She was the middle of seven siblings who all preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her son, Gary Mack Thompson and grandchildren; Crystal and Christie Thompson.

She is survived by her children; Larry Joe Thompson of Odessa, and Marilyn Lee Thompson of Metairie, LA.; grandson, Cody Thompson of Odessa, and great grandchildren; Ashtin, Brylie, and Easten.

Graveside services will be 12:00 PM, MST, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Prairie Haven Memorial Park in Hobbs, NM. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, January 23, 2015 at Park's Methodist Retirement Village with Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
