Winnie Voorhies

Winnie Anita Voorhies, 65 years young of Odessa, TX, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, December 7, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services are at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel will Reverend Johnny Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Anita was born November 11, 1950 in Dublin, TX to Thomas Voorhies and Winnie Elizabeth Owens Voorhies.
Anita never married but throughout her life she had many children that she taught in Bible school, which she loved very much. She was a member of Life Change Baptist Church. Anita worked as a Librarian at UTPB for over 30 years. She was a traveler and went many places with her church.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Winnie Voorhies and her brother, Larry Voorhies.

She is survived by her brothers, Terry Voorhies, Rex Voorhies and his wife, Anna and their children.
