Stella Ahrlett

Stella Mae Ahrlett, age 92, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2023, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10: 00 AM, Saturday May 6, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Shaye Lane of River of Hope Church will be officiating. A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Stella Ahrlett was born in Pearce, Arkansas, on November 4, 1930, to Jesse McPherson Seaton and Lena Seaton. She went to school in Hot Springs, Arkansas and graduated from Lake Hamilton High School in 1950. She worked at Furr’s Cafeteria and Kitchen for 14 years and Mervyn’s Department store for 13 years. Stella loved to bird watch, as well as pruning her lovely roses, reading books and doing puzzle books.

Stella is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James (Jim) Ahrlett; parents, Jesse and Lena Seaton; 4 brothers, Floyd, Marvin, Jr., and Johnny Seaton; 2 sisters, Ruby Seaton Barnes and Glady’s Seaton Woolverton.

Stella is survived by her kids, Jimmy (Skippy) Ahrlett and wife Vickie, Lawana Stark and husband Bobby, and Tommy (Speedy) Ahrlett and his partner Dixie Graboski; grandchildren, Bryan Johnson and wife Stephanie, Bobby Stark II and wife Samantha, Jared Ahrlett and wife Vanessa, James Ahrlett and wife Shaylyn, Jeffery Ahrlett and wife Adalena, Tommy Ahrlett and wife McKenna Ahrlett, and Tanya Mansell and husband TJ; as well as 17 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and several nieces, and nephews.

The pallbearers will be Bryan Johnson, Bobby Stark II, James Ahrlett, Jared Ahrlett, Tommy Ahrlett, and Jeffery Ahrlett.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Fernando Boccalandro and his staff, as well as Hospice and their nursing staff.
